Hi, I’m Molly Margolis, a graduate of Purdue University's Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelors of Science in Animation. I enjoy drawing, singing, sewing, costume building, writing, and animation.

I have been drawing ever since I could hold a writing utensil, writing ever since Junior year of middle school, and singing ever since fourth grade. I have received professional voice coaching and have taken many classes in drawing to perfect my craft; some private, some public. Though I have received a small amount of sewing knowledge from classes, I am mostly self-taught and though I can use a machine, prefer to sew by hand.

My favorite things to illustrate are animals. I feel that non-human creatures are adorable, interesting, and extremely expressive in ways that humans cannot be. Some animals - such as deer or snakes - have an elegance to them that cannot hope to be replicated by a human. In addition, I enjoy illustrating skeletal and muscular structures. I find the internal structures of living creatures and how everything works to be incredibly fascinating.

My art style is heavily inspired by Lauren Faust's My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic; a show I used to watch endlessly in my younger years, and Disney's The Lion King; the latter of which I used to watch on loop for hours on end (sorry mom and dad). I enjoy the oversized eyes and ears, and feel that they add a level of expression and cuteness that could not be replicated otherwise. My inspiration to enter the field of animation was spurred on mostly by Alex Hirsch's Gravity Falls. I enjoy the smoothness and flair of each movement. Though it is exaggerated, this motion brings a level of personality to animated characters that I feel could not be expressed otherwise.
